Who we are
PostUp NYC, LLC produces fashion events in New York City, including runway shows, showcases, castings and industry mixers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Questions about this policy or your data can go to info@postupnyc.com.
Information we collect
When you apply to show, submit a model application, request credentials, apply for a DJ or promoter role, or RSVP for a casting, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, Instagram handle, brand or portfolio links, measurements, and notes about your work.
When you buy a ticket or RSVP to an event, we collect your name, email address and order details. We also collect comp or promo codes you use so we can honor them.
When you pay for anything through our site, your card details are handled by our payment processor, Square. We never see or store your full card number. We receive and keep the payment amount, the item you paid for, and the status of the payment.
When you contact us by email, use a sales link shared by a host, or chat with us, we keep a record of that contact so we can follow up.
Like most websites, we receive standard technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which we use to keep the site working and to understand traffic.
How we use your information
We use your information to run our events, which includes reviewing applications, booking designers, casting models, issuing tickets and passes, sending event updates, processing payments, and following up after a show.
We use application details to decide who participates and to contact you about your submission. We use buyer details to deliver tickets and support your order.
If a designer, host or partner introduces you to us, we may share only what is needed to run the event, for example putting your name on a lineup or guest list.
Transactional email, such as ticket confirmations, contracts, payment links and application updates, is sent to the address you gave us because it is needed to complete what you asked for.
Occasionally we email past applicants, buyers or guests about upcoming shows. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@postupnyc.com.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers and people who help us run events:
Square, which processes payments. Square handles your card details under its own privacy policy.
Email and hosting providers, which deliver our messages and run this website.
Photographers, videographers and production staff, who may receive attendee or participant details needed on show day.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
Photos, video and recordings
Our events are photographed and filmed. By attending, you may appear in photos or video captured at the event, which PostUp NYC may use for promotion, including on our website, social channels and press materials.
Designers and participants may be asked to sign a separate agreement covering content rights for their show. Those agreements control where they apply.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your sign in if you have a team or host account, and understand how pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site, like checkout or dashboards, may not work without them.
How long we keep information
Application and participation records are kept so we can consider you for future seasons. Ticket orders and payment records are kept as required for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep by emailing info@postupnyc.com.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for marketing. Email info@postupnyc.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
Our site and events are intended for people 18 and over. Minors may participate in shows only through a parent or legal guardian, who provides and controls any information on their behalf. If you believe a minor has given us information directly, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
